Enviromental Interaction[]

In Umbra the enviroment can be manipulated in various ways, for example if you hit a wet enemy with a lightning based spell or attack then the enemy will become stunned.

The current interactions we are aware of are as follows;

Wet mob struck by lightning is stunned.

Frozen mob struck by fire is unfrozen.

Frozen mob struck by physical takes extra damage.

An ignited mob struck by cold is distinquished.

This is also goes for the enviroment, so if you set all the ground on fire then use a cold AoE, it will put the fire out!

Apocalyptic Form[]

Apocalyptic form is your super mega OP god mode. It only lasts a short duration though and has a large cooldown so use it wisely! So far what we know about apocalyptic form is that it is based upon your skill set and requires 3 mutations to become a whole form. These include stat variations and physical changes, such as growing horns or sprouting demonic wings!

On releaase  the team are aiming for around 25 different mutations, which could lead to a whole heap of forms! For example if you are a fire wielding mage then your apocalyptic form could involve setting yourself on fire and being healed by fire spells!

Skill Sets and Potions[]

If you have played Path of Exile then you will be familiar with the potion system, for a brief run down for those who haven't it works like this.

You have 5 potion slots, in those slots you can have a variety of different potions, for example a hp potion, a mana potion and 3 potions that grant you some huge boost to armor for a few seconds. Now these pots can also roll stats so that hp potion might also give you a boost to magic find for a few seconds too, and variations like that! These potions refill when you kill enemies, so you have to use them carefully!

In Umbra there are no classes, just stat points, passives and skills. The idea is to build a character however you want, so if you want to be a huge guy in plate armour throwing out fireballs you can! The way to accumulate skills is to use ones in that same field. So if you want to get a new ice skill keep spamming that blizzard and eventually enemies will drop you one!
